Yes I have been very slack with the blog, have just been super busy over the last 2.5 months. Xmas has come and gone, Ryders birthday has come and gone so i will do the point form catch up.

* November had Ryder's birthday party very early last year (birthday is actually 28/12). It was a pirate party, it was a great day and everyone had a ball.

* December XMas of course. Had a wonderfu xmas got some lovely presents. Had problems with my camera so don't have that many pictures, Just had a wonderful relaxing time with Ryder.

* January have been to the Werribee Zoo, been to the movies to see "Alvin and the chipmunks". Went to Kylie's for a pool party.
Yesterday went 10 pin bowling , I used to bowl League many many many moons ago. Well can I tell you the first ball I bowled i fell over. Ryder said " How embarassing mum" So the rest of the time i was paranoid about falling again as my shoe kept on sticking. Today i am so sore, you just don't realised how many muscles are used to bowl. The kids had a great time (will add pictures later when I download them).

Have to work tomorrow, i will try to keep blogging more this year.

Busy, Busy Busy

i have not blogged for a while, life has been super busy. I have moved house and after 6years of living at the same place it is amazing how much stuff you accumulate. I have scrubbed and scrubbed and scrubbed the old place have finally handed the keys in last Thursday.

Now the task at hand is unpacking everything, and finding new places for them to go. Doing all this in between working heaps as it is our busiest time of year. I have also been planning Ryder's Birthday party. I decided to have his party eary this year as it is always hard trying to fit it in around Xmas.

He is having a pirate party this year, i finished the invitations at 3.00am this morning. i am very happy with how they turned out.

The school holidays are over in Victoria and the kids go back today. We went to the zoo last Thursday with some beautiful friends Trish & kids, Rayles & kiddies and myself and Ryder. It was fantastic to see their reactions because they hadn't been to the zoo for years, so had never seen the new Elephant Trail or the Orang Utan Sanctuary. We walked and walked and walked, i can tell you, that night i could hardly move and was exhausted. Here are some photos from the day

Footy Finals Week

It is footy finals week in Melbourne this week, so yesterday we went into the city, where Ryder particitpated in a special Auskick clinic. This was great they had it for an hour. Lucky me got to watch these two hunks while they helped out ,( Ned from Neighbours - Dan O'connor and Dr Dave Brewer the vet from Macleods Daughters- Brett Tucker) mmmmmm yumm.

Changed my Blog colours

Well since i don't have any mojo to scrap, i thought i would be creative with my blog. Decided to give it a face lift and change the header and the colours. The green is inspired by my new Making Memories roller tote that i received of the two bestest friends and i just love it. It was totally unexpected which made it even more wonderful.

The pictures in the header were taken on the last school holidays at St Kilda Adventure playground, what an awesome place that is.

Ok well i am cleaning up my scrap area so hopefully that will motivate me to scrap, so i better get back to it before it is time to go and pick Ryder up from school.

Food glorious food

All i seem to have done this weekend is eat. Last night went to Scrapping in the Clouds at Pam & Alex's. I didn't even take any scrapping stuff. It was a wonderful night and was great to catch up with you all. I also got to see and hold the beautiful Cooper.

Alex excelled again in his Culinary delights. We had,so much wonderful food and I reeally need to get the receipe for that LOW FAT dip.

Then tonight i went out for dinner with my work colleagues and ate more yummy food i am so full.

I know short and sweet just wanted to blog.

Melbourne Museum and other stuff

Ok we als went to the melbourne Museum on the last Friday of the school holidays. i took Drewbie and Ryder, the boys had such a great time. My only complaint is that they need to have a BIG< BIG sign in the bugs part to warn that the SPIDERS are around the corner. I had a heart attack and told the boys that they could go and look and I would be over with the stick insects

The boys love the crystals that changed colour under the ultra violet lights. There were some ugly creaturs in the marine part and then Giant Squid was very interesting and ugly.

The window was in the dinosaur expo area it just caught my attention as I turned around. so i had to take a picture of it.

Other than that have just been busy with school going back last week, work, auskick started back as well.

Healsville Sanctuary

We have been FOTZ (friends of the zoo) members for about 5 1/2 years now and we have never been to Healsville Sanctuary. So last tThursday we headed up there. The weather was cold but not raining (well for most of the day anyway). Had a great time got a bit wet and a bit muddy but we all enjoyed ourselves.

Here are some shots of very hungry and wet Koalas, Ryder and Drew, and the elusive Platypus. Anyone who has seen the playtpus at Melbourne zoo or Healsville will understand how hard it is to get a photo, as they are nocturnal so there houses are very dark and they move at lighting speed. So i am very happy to have this photo even though it isn't one of my best

Medieval Feast

Today we went to the St Kilda Adventure Playground. I have never been hear before it is absolutely fantastic and the kids all loved it.

It was great to catch up with all my good friends, and I think all the kids had an absoulte ball, We will have to do it again. I will definitely be going back to this playground

School Holidays - Monday

Well it is School holidays here in Victoria. We have had a really good couple of days.

Monday 2/7/07 - We had a catch up with our playgroup, now that the kids are all at school they don't get to catch up quite as oftens as us mums (we catch up every week for coffee). We went the a friends farm and the kids had an absolute ball going on a little discovery hike ( i would share photos but the card has corrupted on those images and I am trying to revoer them). Ryder got very muddy and nearly fell completely in the river

Ok it has been 8 days since my last blog

I said I would blog more often and I haven't. Ryder went in on Wednesday to have is Tonsils ans Adenoids (sp?) out finally it has been a LONNNNNNNNGGGGGG Waiiiiiiiiittt. We have been waiting since October last year. the poor little thing has tonsillitis 15 times last year.

So on D day we had to be in at the children's Hospital at 7.00am so an early start and Ryder hadn't had anything to eat since 7.00pm the previous night.

Luckily when we got in there he was the first cab of the rank for the ENT (ears, nose, throat)list. It was only day surgery, so once we had been assigned our bed, the nurses told us that Theatre had been put on hold because the Hospital was at 105% capacity, and that they had to wait for some discharges in case there were any complications in Theatre and they need the beds. Theatre was meant to start at 8.30am, I think it started at 9.30am. i went in to the room while the Anaesthetist (sp?) put him under. He had a concerned look on his face when they were putting the needle in his hand. I asked him if I could take his photo and he said "NO". He said that it tickled when the liquid was going in the anaesthetist said that's good cause most people don't say it tickles they say it hurts.

Then it was back to the waiting room for me, it didn't seem that long before the Dr came out and said " he was in recovery, everything went well. His tonsils were extremely large, which means the blood vessels were extremely large so it took them 2-3 mins longer. His adenoids were of medium size." So i wait in the waiting room until i got paged to go to recovery.

He was so funny and was in hysterics while he was coming out of the anaesthetic. He did actually hit me in the head when he was trying to cuddle me as he had no control. He kept on trying to sit up. Once he was OK we wheeled him back to the day surgery room, where we had to stay for 6 hours to make sure there were no complications.

Even though he was still very groggy he still had his sense of humour. I had told him the day before that I would have peace and quiet because he wouldn't be able to talk. Well he said to me" See I can still talk and poked his tongue out going ahhhhhhhhh so I could see he had no tonsils"

While we waited the 6 hours ryder turned into a n eating machine he had. 18 ritz crackers with cheese, 4 jellies, 2 ice creams, 2 icey poles. 4 apple juices. The nurses could not believe how much he was eating. I said he was used to having a sore throat.

We were meant to be able to go home at 4.40pm however we had to wait for the doctor to come around. We finally got discharged at 6.30pm.

Ryder has been resting for the last 4days, he is still pretty quiet and pretty pale. The doctor said he may have more pain tomorrow (5Th day)

We haven't been out of the house since Wednesday.

The first one is Ryder before his OP and the second one is after and he is very pale compared to the first

Wow where does the time go

As the heading says where does the time go. It only seems like yesterday that I updated my blog, then I look today and it has been 11 days. Well not much is happening in this part of the world, except the general working, mothering and life in general. Have been really sick this week with sinuses and then chest infection, so have been getting plenty of rest.

I have all next week off wokr so hopefully I will be able to do some scrapping. I will try to update the blog every couple of days

I know i have been such a slack blogger. Life has just bee super busy with life in general. what have i been upto

* Went to Scrap Shop retreat in Tassie, had an absolutely awesome time, with so of my very bestest buddies. Haven't laughed so much in ages. Was a bit disappointed in the shopping this time, however i did buy two new handbags.

* Went to Scrapanalia Crop day, had a fantastic time, did 16 Layouts and won a cropper hopper trolley as first prize in the raffle

* Had my birthday on the 24th May

* Been busy working

* Have changed my blog colours

Walking with Dinosaurs

We went to see Walking with Dinosaurs today. It was absolutely AWESOME. Ryder loved it, i loved it we all loved it. If you were debating whether to take your kids or not i would definitely suggest that you do take them. Here are some shots from today

It has been ages since I have blogged, lifes just seems to be too hectic. well what has been happening with me

I went away to scrapbook a few weekends ago, I did a complete 9x9 album (17) pages. I can't share as i haven't scanned them yet, Also made this Name plaque for a first birthday present. I also did 2 12x12 Layouts. It was a fantastic weekend .

Last weekend i had my car broken into at work, they smashed a window to get in. I had my tools tote and my mm tote in there (which they obviously thought had a laptop in it), I think it was junkies as nothing was taken THANK GOD they didn't take all my scrapping tools. It just really annoys me that because of them i had the inconvenience of having to pay to get my window fixed and what for they got nothing.

I will try and keep more up to date with the blog now

Where have those years gone? My baby turned 6 yesterday and it only seems like yesterday that he was born. He is having a bit of a 3 day celebration. Tonight we have close friends coming over for cake and tomorrow we have his birthday party. This picture is the cake that we had to have to sing happy birthday. Ryder isn't much of a cake person so this was an easy substitute

Well the tree is up and even though it is still not finished in my eyes (i made a heap of ribbon bows and now i can't find them). I am pleased with my colour theme this year. I have also made the new wreath for the front door to match the theme. I have made my xmas cards. They have a picture of our tree on them this year, as I gave Ryder the choice on either his photo or the tree. he chose the tree.

New Job

I have been very busy of late with starting a new job. My new job is at GFP Studios in Carlton as a photographer. Can I just say that it is very hard work getting babies to smile all day. Am loving it however it is very tiring.

I have just decorated my mantelpiece with it's garland (i know it's early), at least I haven't put the tree up yet. Just finished a mini book for Sally , the pictures are from xmas 2004.

I so love Christmas, love all the decorations, love the spirit, love spending time with loved ones. Just love everything about it.

Would just like to thank everyone for their get well wishes for Ryder. He is back to his very cheeky self. We are still awaiting an appointment, i'm not holding my breath for anything before Xmas.

Ryder's first Hospital visit

Thursday night Ryder came down with tonsilits for the 9th time this year. As i had a pescription i went around to the chemist to get it filled. Saturday night I went out for dinner with some great friends and when i got to mum's to pick him up, ryder was worse. After three days of antibiotics you would think he would be getting better. He had a high temp of 39.2 so gave him panadol and put him to bed. So sunday he was very lethargic and really not well. I made sure he was drinking heaps of fluids. So by 4.00 Sunday after noon with a tem of 40.2 and his tonsils actually touching, we headed into the Childrens Hospital,. They were fantastic. They decided to admit him into the short stay unit for observation and to give strong antibiotics by drip. As his tonsils were obstructing his airways they wanted to make sure he was monitored. He was such a brave boy. We are just waiting now for an appointment with the Ear, nose and Throat specialist to get themout hopefully.

This photo was taken at the end of the day at Movie World, in the shade of a building and I really couldn't be bothered checking my camera settings. So the one on the left is the result. I was very dissapointed as it had taken me 3 times of ryder visitng Movie World (2004, and twice this time) for him to actually get his photo taken with Catwoman. So as this was the only shot i had to see what I could do to fix it, Here is the result

Back from Holidays

We got back from holidays yesterday, we have been up on the Gold coast for the last ten days. I took Ryder and my nephew George. We all had a great time. It was George's first time on a plane and first time to the Theme Parks. We did them all Sea World, Movie World (twice), Wet 'n' Wild and Dream World. The kids loved Movie World and Dream World the best. I loved Sea World the best . I took hundreds of photos and some video footage as well. Here are some photos from Sea world. This was our first day.

Hi Everyone

I know shock horror I am updating my blog after being MIA for a couple of months. You know life just gets chaotic sometimes and there is no time or interest in other things. I attend Rebecca's "Elsie style" class at simply scrapbooking the other night with some buddies. You will notice my hand written heading in "The eighties" I wasn't like some others that I won't mention who got someone else to hand write their headings. Go on laugh about the hair do as well, I know you are AM. Thoroughly enjoyed the class Rebecca and good luck with your relocation. I'm sure you are going to love it over there.

I will post again tonight and try to keep upto date, however we are going on holidays on Tuesday so i will be gone for a few days

Scrap Shop Design Team appointment

I am rapt to say that i have become a Design Team member for Scrap shop. I am so honoured to be a part of the lovely Sally's DT family. Here are some LO i have done for her all using the We r memory Keepers, Urban windows Boho Chic papers

1. The first one is of Trish and I at the Scrap Shop Retreat in Tassie in April. I also did this one at a cybercrop on Thursday night with the scrap shop.

2. This one I have altered the photo in photoshop. I love using these papers

3.This one is using a photo that i took of Ryder on a night time photo shoot in Melbourne. Once again used the same papers as above.

All of these were done with only using 3 pieces of patterned paper

Here are some more photos which were taken on our photo shoot around Melbourne the other week. These were taken by Ryder (5). He was a cheeky devil, I was telling him enough and he kept on click and started to run away with mum's ( canon 300d). Cheeky blighter.

I deleted another one he took of Flinders Street Station as it showed a not very glamourous angle of Pam (roflmao), this one only shows the top of her head. Rryder was so tired by the end of the night as we had walked from one end of the city to the other

another quick post

I am working flat out on the Holiday program and am totally tired when I get home that i just crash on the couch. Have only scrapped one Layout (haven't scanned yet).

Last Saturday (not the one just gone) I caught up with Rach and Pam, it was so good seeing them as i haven't seen them for months. We went on a night time photo shoot in the city, learnt heaps and Ryder had a ball. When we were walking up to the appartment building, Ryder was saying " I'm scared of heights" well as soon as we got in there he had his head pressed against the window looking down. It is such an awesome view and a whole different perspective on the city.

To Blog or not to Blog

It has been so long since I have blogged, more than a month. I have been thinking, to blog or not to blog, as no one seems to leave comments I am thinking that this blog is just for me, so therefore I really do not need to update as much as I used to, just when I feel like it.

So the time has come again that I feel upto blogging some of my thoughts and what i have been doing. The Last weekend in April I went to a Scrapbooking retreat in Tassie with Sally's Shop. The weekend didn't start off to well as I was leaving on the 6.50am flight Friday morning. After checking in my luggage I suddenly remembered I didn't have my camera with me, and then I was panicked, did I leave it at the bus stop in the Long Term car park, so going through in my mind what I placed on the ground, no not there, so hoping that it is in the car and will still be there when I get back. Having visions of my car window being smashed and the camera gone when I get back.

Arrive in Tassie at 8.00am, Marica was waiting to pick me up at the airport, as her sister and brother were on the same flight. After dropping them off at her dad’s place and having a cuppa, we headed into Hobart, for me to do some sightseeing with no camera. I get a phone call from Kylie just seeing how I was and what I was upto, then she said “ See if you can find POLLY’ SHOES, there is a shop in Hobart”. So I hang up and go window shopping and I am admiring these shoes, I look up and guess what YEP Its Pollys Shoes. I ring Kylie back and tell her I found it. She warned me to take a deep breath before I go in there, they have the most devine shoes and handbags (also very expensive). I went in and had a look very BEAUTIFUL TREASURES, but well out of my budget. I leave the shop and do some more window shopping , a couple of doors up I see some more shoes and go into have a look, it is a clearance centre for Polly’s shoes and Miss M handbags. I was very good and only walked out with one bag (rrp $90.00) I paid 10 bucks, what a bargain. I love a good bargain.

Next thing am in Target and get a phone call from Mum (she is looking after Ryder) He is very, very sick with Croup and as it is contagious to cut a long story short I had to change my flights and leave Saturday to come home. So I got to spend just over a day at the Retreat. But I had a ball anyway, Kylie taught a class which was fantastic here is my layout from the class. The meals and accomadation and company were 5 star can’t wait to come back next year Sally.

Sunday 30th April

After coming home Saturday night and picking up Ryder from mum’s (he was a very sick boy). I wake up this morning very sick with head full of sinuses, so the two of us spend the next two days either in bed or in the lounge room trying to get over our sicknesses.
It has taken a couple of weeks and we are still not 100%.

Friday 12th May

Trish has her first crop night in Melton, was a great night to catch up and get some scrapping done, even with all the excitement (lol) I got 5 LO done.

Just been caught up in the whirlwind that we call life. I did however got the chance to do some scrapping yesterday and i completed 4 pages, 3 of them were for challenges on cybercropcentral. The lion fish one was a sketch challenge. The fish one was another photo from our visit to the Melbourne Aquarium last year sometime, which has been sitting in the too scrap folder, it is a simple one but hey it is done. The Melbourne cup one was done in two parts each page was for a different challenge. Felt great to be scrapping again.

SUNDAY - We were up early again this morning as it is Auskick day. First thing we did was buy him some footy boots, they are second hand Nike ones for $10 bucks so am happy with that and Ryder thought he was it and a bit wearing them. When they played the game at the end he did so well. He had about 4 marks, so had 4 kicks from that and he also got to kick the ball after the other team kicked a point. Was glad when it was over as it was starting to get really cold.

Yesterday we started of the day with Ryder starting at Auskick at the ungodly hour of 9.00am. He had an absolute ball and got his bag of goodies. As a bad mum I forgot to take a bottle of water for him, luckily there was a drink bottle in the bak pack that he got, so I filled that up. Here are some pictures of him enjoying himself.

Then last night we went and had dinner at McDonalds then drove the car to the station and caught the train into the city to see THE LION KING. All i have to say is that it is absolutely amazing. Ryder loved it and was standing up singing and dancing to the songs he knew. The only parts that he felt tired in were the slow songs. When it finished an Ryder said " I loved that mum, that was the best" It made an good night and even better night. We then caught the train to the station and drove home. Ryder was asleep before we got home and he was in such a deep sleep cause he was very heavy to carry in.

Wow it has already been another week which has flown by, with me abandoning my blog. Have been busy working on the holiday program with 45 kids, so am really happy that school has gone back.

Have been going to the Chiro’s 3 times a week for the last 3 weeks, I have had some really good days with my back and then I have had some bad ones again. So hopefully I will be going for some more xrays soon to see how the treatment has helped.

Have been in a bit of a scrapping rut this year so I signed up for 2 online classes with Kim Archer. I did one last night and here is my lo I completed. I am very happy with it. I am doing another class tomorrow which is a double page LO. So i promise I will share once I complete it.

I also just completed 2 pages for a cj that I am involved in and was happy with how they turned out.

Catch up - its been a week

Well life has just gotten in the way this week. With the last week of term, going to the Chiropractors. Having to see Ryder's teacher, Principal and Vice principal about his behaviour at school.

On a happier note we got Ryder's school pictures back ( I know already) I am quite happy how they turned out as he had an accident at school that day but thankfully it was after the photos were taken.

I have also just finished a 6x6 double page LO for a cj that i am in - Colour my world My colour choices were Pink and Black, i am qute happy with how it turned out

Friday Night Crop

I went to a crop on Friday night with some great friends AM, Kylie and Trish. I had such a fantastic night full of laughter and more laughter and more laughter. I completed 2 LO's one which took me 2.5 hours (i love you santa) and one which took 20 mins (bec's goingaway however i have added the fabric and flowers since then). Can't wait to scrap with you girls again.

On Sunday I attended and all day crop hosted by Joy and Nicole from Simply Scrapbooking. They had two great make and takes, i completed one which features on this double page LO that I did of Ryder's first day of school. The make and take was a great mini clipboard. The other make and take which I still have to do is a key tag, which looks sensational. We also received a great " I love simply scrapbooking" reusable bag in their colours "Black and aqua". I had a great day sitting with AM, Trish, Tracy and Rales. Kylie was also there but she was sitting up the front. I haven't laughed so hard in such a long time, so thanks girls for the great days entertainment. I also caught up with Karen and Pauline from FORW, and Lyn was also there great to chat to you too.

The food was great especially the scones, they were so much nicer than last year (lol). The raffle was great and heaps of prize give aways (but we never win any )

Ryder's second week at school

Well ryder started his second week at school yesterday, with longer days, he is going from 9 - 2pm now (which I love). It is a bit of a rush though as I start work at 3, so by the time i pick him up drive him to my mums, its straight to work. Well last night when I picked him up from mum's he said " I want to quit school mum, i don't want to go tomorrow" and then started to cry. When i asked him why? he said a boy had punched him yesterday and was calling him names. He said" i told him mum to stop saying those things cause I didn't like it, but he didn't stop, he just hit me" You can imagine what I would like to do to that little boy. Upsetting my baby.

So this morning I went to talk to the teacher before school, I was very happy that she said she had spoken to the boy after Ryder came and told her about it. Then when i left the school and come home about 10.30am I get a call from the school to say Ryder had hit heads with another boy and he had a lump on his head, however he was fine. So once again I was pleased that the school gave me a courtesy call. I hope the rest of the week is better for Ryder

Online worshop with kim archer

Last night i participated in an online workshop with Kim. It ran for 2 hrs and was absolutely fab. I have been in a scrapping slump this year so this was a great chance to try and get back into it. The workshop was an 8.5 x 11 Portrait, however i decided to do mine 8.5 x 11 Landscape. As I am usually a 12 x 12 scrapper it really took me out of my comfort zone. I also used quite a few things in my stash that i have had for ages. I love my LO and once again Kim, thank you so much and look forward to the next one

Ryders first week at school

It has been a busy week at school this week. ryder has been loving school. Besides being punched and pushed of the playground by a boy in his class. He is so tired when he gets home from school that he id a bit of a naughty boy. He has met his buddy at school and likes him so was pretty pleased about that.

Well I have just gotten back from dropping my baby of at School. There were no tears from either of us, there was excitement from both of us. I'm sure he will have a great day at school (well at least 2.5 hrs). I have just downloaded the photos, have made a coffee and thought i would sit down to update my blog.

Here is my big school boy. I finally found his hat this morning after searching the whole house for it last night. I can't wait to have some quality me time while he is at school this year.

I was sitting at my computer the other day, when Ryder come around the corner wearing this hat. In between fits of laughter I asked him where he got it from. He said he got it out of the wardrobe, he loves playing dress ups and imaginative play

Ok well thats enough waffling for the moment, i better get this house in order and then go buy some food.
I haven't had time for a couple of days to update. Have been busy still working on the holiday progam and by the time I have picked Ryder up from mum's and got home i was exhausted. The heat has been so draining as well.

Well it is only a couple more sleeps until Ryder starts school on Tuesday.Tonight I have to iron all the labels onto his uniform. I think I am more excited than him. However it is only 2.5hrs for the first day (not long enough for me), especially with the attitude he has had of late. I have been very good and haven't put his uniform on him yet I want to wait until the first day of school.

Ok I have been a bit slack over the last couple of days, however I started back at work on Monday. working on the Holiday Program. We are going on a great excursion today, A classic steamboat river cruise. So I will post some pictures tonight maybe. I better get my but into gear as i have to start at 9.30am. I have completed a bit this morning, washed dishes, hung out 2 loads of washing, just put another one on.

Rearranging the lounge room

Yesterday i took Ryder and his cousin George to a playcentre, Rugrats. They were having a great time, i was enjoying sitting there reading the paper. We had been there for probably about an hour when Ryder came around the corner crying holding his eye. I moved his hand away a saw straight away he had a black eye. I took him over to get some first aid, they didnt have an ice pack, so they gave me an icy pole to put on it and then ryder got to eat it. This is a picture I took this morning

Ok have been slack for a few days and haven't written anything on my blog. I have been busy starting to declutter the house (which is one of my goals for this year). I have cleaned out Ryder's wardrobe, and also done some of mine. I finally put all the Christmas decos and tree away.

I only have one week left of holidays then back to work on the Holiday Program. I am looking forward to this as we have some great things planned. Before I know it, it will be time for my baby to start school.

1. To start eating healthy and try to lose some weight along the way. Have been having the good life for too long and hiding behind it too

2. To declutter my house (well try too) and to maybe move into a bigger house with an extra room for my scrapping area

Its so hot

Ok yesterday it was a very hot one in Melbourne, so Ryder and I went over to my mum and dads (as they have aircon). I was still feeling pretty lousy with my sinus and blocked ears and head just fully congested. So i just layed on the couch in the lounge all afternoon. Ryder played with his cousins on the playstation. Then later when there was some shade in the back yard we let them have a water fight and my nephew George the little terror got me. So i got the super soaker and got all of them. They all had a great time.

We called into Ryder's dads on the way home and ryder is staying there for the weekend. Woohoo i have the weekend to myself, will give me sometime to just do nothing.

I hope every has a great New Year's Eve tonight, drive safely and hope you have a great start to 2006

Ryders 5th Birthday Party

On Wednesday 28th December it was Ryder's 5th Birthday. He has a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Party. I made all the masks for the children. I made them in the four colours (red, blue, ornage and purple)

I also made the cake, which i was up at 5.30am to bake and only finished decorating it when the first guest arrived. We had 17, 5 years old and it was a very hot day. We had it outside, i had set up two shade houses for the kids to sit under while we played games. I had my friend Donna paint a picture of one of the turtles so we could play pin the mask on the turtle.

The kids loved it. For food i also made chocolate turtles and had them in green jelly (the slime which mutated them into the TMNT). The kids all had a fantastic time.

After all the kids left and we went inside, i had the worst headache and was thirsty, due to the fact i was out in the sun all afternoon and hadnt had a drink since brekky time. I thought i might had had heat exhaustion. I was lying on the couch for the rest of the afternoon while ryder was playing with his new pressies. As it turned out i was coming down with a really bad case of sinus problems and spent the next day doing pratically nothing and snoozing on the couch all afternoon. Ryder was such a good boy he just played with his toys cause he knew mummy wasn't well.

I did however build this for him, it was my present to him and it took me nearly 2 - 3 hrs well it seemed that long

Last night Ryder made my evening he turned around and said " Your the best mother in the world" I asked him why and he said" Cause i had the best party ever". How cute is that bought a tear to my eye.

xmas eve and xmas day

Well i have been very busy since xmas and sick so havent felt much like being at the computer. Xmas eve Ryder and I created a Gingerbread Chalet and Santa and his sleigh, we had heaps of fun and ryder kept on pinching heaps of lollies. We spent Xmas eve with our good friends Auntie Nick, Shannie, Stevie, Courtie, and Chrissie and Paulie and Carol We have been doing this for nearly 20 years.

Xmas day was great, Ryder didnt get up till 9.30am so i was up early waiting, waiting waiting for him to get up. I love the awe and innocence of children when they see what santa has brought them. I didnt get many good pictures as my flash was chucking a tanty.

He was very happy with all the presents he received from santa and me (however he just thinks they were all from santa even though i told him which ones were from me)

Its Xmas Eve - 1 More sleep

Ok it is only one more sleep to the jolly big man in the red suit comes. I can't wait till the morning, it is really exciting watching the look of amazement and joy on childrens faces on xmas morning.

I have just gotten back from the supermarket, and are just about to have lunch. After lunch we are going to make a Gingerbread Chalet and Santa and his sleigh so can't wait for that. We are also going to turn Choc Royale bickies into little xmas puddings.

Myself and two of my best friends always spend xmas eve together so looking forward to that. Well can smell the lunch in the oven better go

Finished Work YEAH

Had the last day of school where i work at Out of school hours care. It was a very hectic day and I was exhausted by the end of it. We had 60 kids, we had portable bowling lanes come in so the kids could play bowling. They had so much fun. We also had party food (party pies, sausage rolls, cocktail franks), fresh fruit (watermelon, canteloupe, apples, strawberries, oranges), they also had icy poles. So it was a very full on day.

So today i am still in my jammies and will think about getting dressed soon, and then cleaning the house, to get ready for the christmas guests or drop ins.

I have finally finished my tree and am sorta happy with my tree. Nearly finished wrapping up the presents. Think I might do that tonight. Have everything organised for Ryder's party on the 28th December. Will just have to go shopping for the food after Christmas.

Ok i better go get dressed and start some housework.

Only 8 sleeps till Santa comes

It has been a very hectic week this week. Ryder had his last day at kinder on Thursday, I dropped him of at 9.00am and rushed home to finish the teachers presents ( a calendar with all the 24 kids pictures on them). Mind you i was up til 4.30am trying to finish a dvd I was making of the Kinder Christmas concert and got up at 6.30am.

Made it back in time to see santa and just scrapped through with the presents, Phew glad thats out of the way.

Have finally finished the Christmas Tree, and am quite happy with how it has turned out. Will post one of it at night when i am truly happy with the photos. Sorry haven't done an entry for a few days. Have been keeping a bit of a low profile. I have 2 discs out in my back so have been a little bit of pain. I have started the xmas decorating, first thing was making a new wreath for the front door, it matches my colour theme for my tree this year.

It has taken me three days to put the tree up (its 10ft) have just finished decorating it, but i have to borrow a ladder from my day so i can put the top part of it up. Then i will post a picture of the finished result.

I am still waiting for Mr Antenna to arrive they said anywhere between 9 - 12. Well he better get here soon cause i have to work this arvo.

Yesterday I had a vey busy day as I had Kinder duty from 9-2 then I had to work from 3-6pm. Ryder loved having me stay all day at kinder. However he did a little misbehaving cause I was there. I also got to see them practice their Christmas play and I can't wait to see the finally product. My boy is so proud to be the donkey (lol) cause the donkey was a very important part in the story.
