Ryder's first Hospital visit

Thursday night Ryder came down with tonsilits for the 9th time this year. As i had a pescription i went around to the chemist to get it filled. Saturday night I went out for dinner with some great friends and when i got to mum's to pick him up, ryder was worse. After three days of antibiotics you would think he would be getting better. He had a high temp of 39.2 so gave him panadol and put him to bed. So sunday he was very lethargic and really not well. I made sure he was drinking heaps of fluids. So by 4.00 Sunday after noon with a tem of 40.2 and his tonsils actually touching, we headed into the Childrens Hospital,. They were fantastic. They decided to admit him into the short stay unit for observation and to give strong antibiotics by drip. As his tonsils were obstructing his airways they wanted to make sure he was monitored. He was such a brave boy. We are just waiting now for an appointment with the Ear, nose and Throat specialist to get themout hopefully.

Poor little thing. Hopefully, the ABs do the job and he has them whipped out in double time.

It was great to see you on Saturday night. We did have a great time.

Ooohhh Poor little fellow. They are amazing at RCH though aren't they. I hope he is feeling better soon. Tonsilitis sucks bad enough as an adult, so it must be so awful for a child. Hope you get in soon and they can help him (and you!).
